A Word About Split Ends

Split ends should be cut off regularly.

Beauty schools teach that there is nothing that can be done to repair them, and if left on the hair, they will continue to worsen. We’ve seen hair strands, neglected for months, split as far as six or seven inches up the hair shaft.

As a result, these weakened ends tend to break off more easily, and the hair does not retain its length. So it’s better to trim them sooner rather than later, while the damage can be corrected by removing a small (rather than a large) amount of length.
